Berkhamsted Lawn Tennis & Squash Rackets Club are gearing up for a big racketball clash tonight as they take on a very strong Lea-on-Solent outfit.

BLT&SRC entered a racketball team into the National Club Championships for the first time this year and, so far, they have taken the event by storm.

They have beaten some tough teams already – including last year’s finalists and big rivals Bishop’s Stortford – and are now through to the quarter-final stage.

Tonight’s clash with Lea-on-Solent starts at 7.45pm, with Adam Fuller, Joe Green, Ali Coker, Josh Ryan and Mark Shattock representing Berkhamsted.

The LoS team will be led into battle by captain and first string player Tim Vail– one of the best racketball players in the country who will provide quite a test for Berko Number 1 Fuller.

A BLT&SRC spokesman said: “This is undoubtedly the biggest racketball match ever played at Berkhamsted, so do come down to support the boys and watch some top class action!”
