Little Hay Golf Club held their annual Presidents Day on Saturday, with all sections of the club playing in a Stableford competition for the President’s Putter.

The winning Lady was Bobbie Barnes with an excellent 39 points; Caroline Banks came second with 38 points and Chris Marsden took third with 37 points.

In the men’s competition, played off the blue tees, Jerry Clarke triumphed with 37 points on count-back from Phil Chester. Paul Mudd was third with 36 points.

The junior winner was Craig Walker with 39 points, with Luke Wrathall second on 36 points and Emma Shepherd third on 32 points.

On the previous Sunday, Division One of the Men’s September Medal was won by Ashley Wade with nett 66. Wayne Griffin came second with nett 67 and in third place on count-back was Mick Whelan with Nett 70.

The Division Two winner was Trevor V Sargent with nett 69, with Chris Miles second with nett 70 and Bo Ho third with nett 71.

The Ladies’ Autumn Fruit Bowl was won by ladies’ captain Dorcas Kindinger with 39 points. In second place was Chris Marsden with 38 points, while Leslie Quinn with third with 37 points.

Elsewhere, Little Hay GC were represented by seven ladies and two men in the NAPGC Seniors Finals held at West Middlesex GC.

Chris Marsden was crowned Senior Ladies’ Champion, while Linda Reeve took second place in the pairs competition.
