LEVERSTOCK Green’s first XI suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Chorleywood as the side’s league struggles continued on Saturday.

The team currently sit bottom of the league table, having won only one league fixture all season.

And Saturday’s loss to Chorleywood was as comprehensive as they come, with Green subjected to a 10-wicket thrashing.

Batting first, Levy could only manage to post a target of 36 all out, with Kris Jadeja (15) the only batsman to reach double figures.

In reply, Chorleywood cantered to the total for the loss of no wickets, in just under 11 overs.

Leverstock Green II, meanwhile, were also beaten as they took on Old Elizabethans.

Levy batted first and Luke Weston’s 25 helped them to a total of 104 all out.

Dayle Littlejohn (3-27) did his best to thwart the Elizabethan chase, but his efforts were in vain as Green went down by five wickets.

Elsewhere, Green’s third XI lost by 15 runs to Old Camdenians II, despite Brett Baney’s 5-84.

There was better news for the fourth XI and the Sunday first XI, though, as they picked up wins over Hatfield Crusaders III and Winchmore Hill, respectively.
