A cycle challenge marking the first anniversary of last year’s Olympic torch relay will pass through Hemel Hempstead today.

Reporters at BBC Three Counties Radio Geoff Doyle and Luke Ashmead will ride the route through Herts, Beds and Bucks over two days, stopping to meet sportsmen and women and find out about the Olympic legacy which has been established in their areas.

The pair will cycle into the town from St Albans, coming in via the Hemel Hempstead Road and stopping in Leverstock Green. They will also ride through the town centre before meeting members of the Sapphire School of Gymnastics based in St John’s Road.

The duo will then continue on to Luton.
