England netball player Karen Atkinson was on hand to offer youngsters some valuable tips and advice at the International Netball Roadshow at Berkhamsted School.

Atkinson, who plays for the Hertfordshire Mavericks in the Netball Superleague, offered an insight into the world of netball for the 7 to 16-year-olds who had taken to the court for the Activate Sport-organised course.

“Our dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated team are continually enhancing our courses and content to ensure that all children enjoy the best possible Activate Sport camp experience, regardless of age or ability level,” said Activate Sport managing director Toby Mitchell.

“We believe it is just as important for someone with low levels of ability to enjoy giving things a go.

“Sport, dance and drama can be life-enhancing activities for everyone, not just those who make the school team or play for their county.”
