TringRugby alumni Vicci Cogger made her professional rugby debut for Lichfield earlier this month.

Cogger, 18, made her Premiership debut against Worcester, playing alongside England World Cup winners Sarah Hunter Natasha Hunt and Emily Scarratt.

Cogger replaced former England U20 player Catherine Pugh with about 30 minutes to go and was immediately called into action in a scrum opposite one of the most capped England players, Rocky Clarke.

Other Worcester players from recent World Cup action included Ceri Large and Laura Keates.

The match, played at Sixways Stadium after the men’s match, ended up as an entertaining 24-24 draw.

Lichfield are at home on Sunday afternoon against Aylesford Bulls.
