Get ready to be bowled over by Hemel Town CC’s fun-filled cricket bonanza

Hemel Hempstead Town CC are gearing up for an action-packed Cricket Week which gets under way at the start of next month.

The fun-filled event, –which runs from Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8 – will feature matches each day on the club’s Main Pitch and Nursery Pitch, as well as a variety of evening entertainment.

Monday will feature a match between school teachers and a Hemel Town CC XI, as well as a clash between Hertfordshire Girls and Sussex Girls, before a Bar Olympics session in the evening.

The following day will see a women and girls inter-club match on the Main Pitch and Special Olympics Cricket on the Nursery Pitch, while Wednesday’s highlight is the Roger Doodson Memorial Match – pitching a Neil Morgan XI against a Hemel Town team.

There will also be inter-club games for U9s and U10s, before a live band take centre stage in the evening.

Thursday sees the return of the 1999 league winning XI as they take on the Hemel Town CC All Stars, with an U12/U13 fixture on the Nursery Pitch, and a club social night afterwards.

The final day of action will see a Local Village XI against Hemel Town CC on the Main Pitch, with the U12s and U13s in action on the Nursery Pitch. Proceedings will be rounded off with a free Summer Night’s Disco.

In addition, there will be a bar and a beer and wine tent open each day, as well as a bouncy castle and a barbecue each evening from 6.30pm to 9pm.
