Hemel Hempstead’s Ed Arthur is set to step up for a career-breaking sports opportunity with Europe’s flagship Mixed Martial Arts promotion, BAMMA on December 14.

BAMMA 14: Daley vs Da Silva takes place at the LG Arena in Birmingham and will be broadcast live on 5* and worldwide, with the highlights airing on Channel 5.

Arthur, of Grovehill, has a professional MMA record of 1-0-0 and remained undefeated at amateur level in the sport. Many of his fights have been finished in the first round.

Competing out of Hemel Martial Arts with professional fighter Denniston Sutherland as his coach, 24 year old Arthur is said to be powerful in all areas of the fight game, training at a variety of gyms to hone his wrestling, boxing and ju jitsu skills.

BAMMA 14 sees Arthur, who has aspirations of making it to the UFC, compete in a career defining bantamweight bout against Devon’s Ben ‘Flubber’ Rees.

Arthur, who is sponsored by the Billy Dove Memorial Fund, Get Built and Team Impact, said: “I will drag my opponent into the deepest darkest waters and he will have nightmares forever after facing me.

“The opportunity to fight for BAMMA is one I am really looking forward to. It is exciting for me because I have gone from doing lots of little shows to doing bigger shows. The bigger the stage, the better for me. I can show the world how good Hemel Martial Arts is. I deserve the win because I train harder, push myself further and mentally I am stronger than anyone out there. I know what it is to be a true mixed martial artist not just a joker with a punch. This is my time to show everyone what I am about.”
