Hemel Hempstead Town have reached the final of the Heath Park cup after recording a three-wicket win over Leverstock Green in the semis.

On a glorious summer’s evening, tight Hemel bowling and some enthusiastic ground fielding restricted Levy to 112-7 from their 20 allotted overs.

Adam Moulster and Jack Doodson shared five wickets.

Hemel’s reply got off to a flyer thanks to some belligerent strokeplay from Doodson, but it was Ali Leightons 45 not out that steered Town home with three wickets and eight balls remaining.

The final will take place on Friday, August 1 at Hemel’s Heath Park ground, where Hemel will battle it out with Kings Langley for the Dacorum 20-over crown.
