HEMEL Town could only manage one win from their five fixtures on Saturday, in what was a disappointing weekend for the club.
With all of the other Hemel representatives suffering defeats, it was left to the fifth side to prevent the whitewash with a nine-run victory over Hatfield III.
The first XI continued their erratic form as they were beaten by a Letchworth side who had not previously recorded a league victory all season.
Craig Weston (71) top-scored for Town as they set a target of 231-9, before Letchworth reached the total with two overs to spare.
Hemel Town II, meanwhile, were beaten at home by St Margaretsbury I.
Martin Wright (4-33) helped to restrict the visitors to 200-8, but Hemel were bowled out for just 162 in reply.
The thirds were also beaten comfortably by Totteridge Millhillians III, while the fourths were thrashed by Wheathampstead II.
The fifth XI, however, did manage to record a win –thanks largely to the bowling of youngsters George Head and Adam Locke who picked up four wickets each.
