Hot-shot Jess on target for GB at world ranking event in Holland

Teenage archer Jessica Stretton was selected to fly to Holland with the Paralympic team to represent Great Britain at a world ranking event.

The 15-year-old, who has cerebal palsy, came home with an excellent gold medal and a team bronze – bravely seeing off her Spanish opponent in the final of the singles

Longdean School pupil Jess, who shoots with Adeyfield Archers, said: “I was so nervous – my bow wouldn’t stop shaking but I focused and won.”

The youngster is now is training hard towards her ultimate aim of representing GB in Rio at the 2016 Paralympics.
