Berkhamsted Lawn Tennis & Squash Rackets Club hosted an exhibition evening with two top lady international squash players to raise funds for CRY and, in particular, The Harry Faulkner Fund.

Fresh from their international team win, Alison Waters (World Number 4) and Sarah-Jane Perry (World Number 16) visited Berkhamsted to play club members Chloe Spratt and Sarah-Jane Schofield – entertaining the crowd with an exhibition of the skills that propelled them to international status.

Both ladies were in the England team that won the international team competition just before Christmas and Waters reached the semi-finals of the World Championships.

The evening also featured the final of the club racketball championship, which was a hard fought competition between Ali Coker and Josh Ryan.

Coker won 2 -1 but Ryan pushed hard and both players delighted the crowd with a stunning display of racketball that preceded the exhibition match between Waters and Perry.

The evening finished with presentations and, in total, the night raised in excess of £800 for CRY who do vital work to raise awareness of heart conditions in the young. Visit their website to learn more at www.c-r-y.org.uk
