CAGE fighter Denniston Sutherland has joined a national campaign to help the victims of recent rioting.

Hemel Hempstead’s own professional fighter, known as Mad Max in the ring, has joined top celebrities in the Daily Star’s crusade – Reclaim Our Streets.

The 38-year-old Ultimate Challenge middleweight champion graced the tabloid’s pages last Friday alongside pop singer Peter Andre and Westlife.

Denniston, who runs Hemel Martial Arts in Fensomes Alley, said: “I think just keeping quiet and standing on the sidelines isn’t enough, we have to get up and do something about it.”

The newspaper teamed up with Wayne and Coleen Rooney to launch a fund that will help families burned out of their homes, shopkeepers left penniless by looters and other deserving causes.
