TRING Hockey Club recorded a mixed set of results in a fixture-filled weekend.
The Ladies’ Second XI went down 1-0 at West Herts, but the Ladies’ Thirds made up for it with a 3-0 victory at Shefford and Sandy.
Christina Slater broke the deadlock after 25 minutes, before Ruth Hart and a deflected effort sealed the win.
The Ladies’ Fourth XI, meanwhile, thrashed Broxbourne 9-1.
And the Men’s Seconds also recorded a good win as they dug deep to run out 3-2 winners over Witney.
A Matt Hyde brace, as well as a goal from Loui Harris, was enough for Tring to secure the win and keep their promotion hopes alive.
It was not such good news for the Men’s Thirds who suffered a 7-3 loss at the hands of Windsor.
Tring went into the game looking to move into third place in the table, but goals from Greg Walton and Tom Alderton (2) were not enough to prevent a heavy loss.
The Men’s Fourths, however, secured a much-needed win over Milton Keynes.
A stunning goal from Jonny Mee earned the morale-boosting victory.
