Sapphire gymnasts travelled to Stevenage on Sunday as the Hertfordshire Gymnastics Association held their annual Club Grades 1-6 competition.

The first three in each age group go through to the Regional Finals in Ipswich next month, with the fourth placed girl being reserve.

In the 9/10-year-old section of Grade 6, Kristina Ball was first with 64.60, Olivia Rennie second with 64.50 and Olivia Kilby fourth with 63.95. Iona Waddell came first in the 11+ section with 61.85.

In Grade 5 at age 9, Alexa McDiarmid was second with 63.60, Lilianne Jervis-Allen third with 63.05 and Matilda Price fifth with 59.60.

In Grade 4 for those aged 10, Eve Andrews was in first place with a score of 62.50. At age 11/12, Kenzie Brown came first with 63.80 and Tegan Hodson-Little was second with 62.35.

Grade 3 saw Amy Price come first with 63.35 in the 11/12 section, with Millie Beattie second with 62.25 and Tara Sadleir fourth with 60.95.

In Grade 1, Molly Jeffries was third with 56.10 as she also booked her spot at finals day.
