Teenage karting sensation Josh Price has zoomed into pole position in the Super One Junior Rotax Championship standings with just one round of the competition remaining.
Josh has been consistently in and around the top-three placings throughout the course of the championship, but had to wait until July’s Larkhall meet to pick up his first victory.
The official standings show Josh in second place in the table, but each driver has to drop one round’s points at the end of the championship – leaving the Redbourn speedster 11 points clear with just the Shenington round remaining at the end of September.
And if he takes his Larkkhall form into the race, Josh looks a safe bet to get his hands on the coveted championship title.
After impressive displays in the heats and pre-final at Larkhall, josh lined up in third place on the grid for the final.
He quickly moved into second place on the first lap and had the leader in his sights – maintaining this position for the next four laps before making his move for the lead.
With a drying track, Josh was getting faster and faster and went in to the lead on lap five where he steadily drew away from his rivals to come home a massive 4.29 seconds in front of the second-placed driver.
