Hemel Stags coach Troy Perkins has heaped praise on his side following their impressive victory over previously unbeaten North Wales Crusaders.
Stags triumphed after Mason Caton-Brown’s late try – his second of the day – sealed an 18-10 win.
“The boys really dug in to get a result,” said Perkins. “The most pleasing thing about it was our defence.
“We’re a pretty inexperienced team at this level but we’re punching above our weight.
“All the hard work we’ve put in since November is starting to reap some rewards.”
