Hemel Stags 25 Dewsbury Celtic 4

HEMEL Stags have moved a step closer to National League glory with an emphatic win over Dewsbury.

After a low-scoring first 40 minutes, Hemel turned on the style in the second half to leave them only one game away from the Grand Final.

The only score of the first half came courtesy of Stags’ Eddie M’Baraga who went over wide on the left to give his side the lead going into the interval.

Hemel came out strongly after the break, and soon forced their second try of the game as James Howitt charged over.

And the Hemel side effectively ended the game as a contest courtesy of a Jamie Goss try after a Celtic blunder.

Ryan Butcher added extras with the boot for Stags, and Christian Champion added a fourth try, before Liam Walmsley went over for a consolation for Dewsbury.

Hemel travel to Huddersfield on Saturday to try and secure their place in the Grand Final.
