There was no stopping Bury Judo Club at the BJC National Closed Championships as all 10 club representatives returned home with a medal.

Senior assistant coach Beth O’Connor and junior competitor Haydn Williams both won gold medals with some spectacular throwing judo, while Ben Atkinson, Alex Gill, Connor Appleton, Liam Trill Green and Jayden Duberry won silvers.

Bronze medals went to Ralph Williams, Donovan Allen and Tim Morris.

Elsewhere, the Southend International Judo Championships was a very tough event with teams attending the competition from all over Europe.

O’Connor led the way again as she bagged a gold medal, with Atkinson winning a silver and Trill Green coming home with a bronze.

Meanwhile, Bury took 11 club members to the Oxfordshire Open Judo Championships and, again, each of them took medals.

Golds went to Niall Curran, Trill Green, Allen and Haydn Williams, while silvers were awarded to Fardeen Butt, Stefan Kiraly and David Kiraly. Bronzes were won by Ethan Shaw, Cain Denham, Ralph Williams and Csaby Kiraly.

At the BJC Welsh Nationals, Ben Atkinson won gold, and silvers went to Beth O’Connor and Liam Trill Green.
