It’s been a busy few weeks off the pitch at TringRugby with a group of volunteers completely refurbishing the clubhouse as part of the Natwest Rugby Force Weekend.

MP David Gauke was even persuaded to wield a paintbrush to help with the effort.

A huge commitment from the volunteers saw the club manage to overhaul both the social and changing areas in good time for the new season for the benefit of members and customers renting out the clubhouse.

The bar area, in particular, is unrecognisable to how it looked before the refurbishment.

As the new season approaches, attention turns back to playing matters.

After the club’s highest ever league finish last season, expectations are high and the senior players’ pre-season schedule has started with a vengeance.

All returning players, or those looking for a new club, are welcome to Cow Lane on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.30pm.

The Mini and Junior season for those aged 3 to 18 will begin on Sunday, September 7 at 10am.

Meanwhile, TringRugby are looking to appoint a match day Chartered Physiotherapist to cover pitch-side care and training on one evening per week.

This post would suit a confident newly qualified physio. For information contact Alex on 07725 801409 or alex.m.bowles@gmail.com
