Tring Swimming Club was proud to be represented by Cole James at The British Gas National Championships – the highlight of the domestic junior swimming calendar.
The level of training and commitment required just to meet the qualifying times demonstrates Cole’s dedication to the sport, and as expected he was up against some top class competition.
Cole swam a brilliant heat to get through to the final of the 200m breaststroke – a fine achievement in itself – before producing a 4.5 second personal best in the final to finish eighth overall.
Later in the week, Cole also competed in the 100m breaststroke and finished 11th in the country.
Both Tring Swimming Club and Hatfield Swimming Club were delighted with the effort put in by their dual representative.
This will give Cole extra motivation for even bigger things in the future.
