Tring Swimming Club is celebrating promotion to Division 1 of the Chiltern League after finishing the season in third place overall.
The Chiltern League is a junior club-based competition attracting teams from Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire and Bucks.
Tring coach Steve Aldred said: “This was a great team effort. Our swimmers’ ages range from nine to adult Masters. Most pleasing is the improvement shown by the younger swimmers over the three rounds.”
Hannah Fitzpatrick, Harvey Stangoe, Maria McCormack and Finlay Miles won their individual races, with 12 other swimmers achieving second place.
A total of 17 swimmers set new personal bests, with Rosie Cave, Maddie Deane and Maria McCormack achieving particularly good times.
Aldred thanked the parents who helped with timekeeping and officiating, as well as the team managers who organised the swimmers and made sure they were ready to start their events.
Head coach Justin Langford added: “Following the success of our performance swimmers over the last few months, it is great to see the younger swimmers doing so well.
“The coaching team has been working hard with all age groups and every swimmer involved has done the club proud.”
The club is looking for new members of all ages. Please visit www.tringswimming club.co.uk for information.
