The Snow Centre will play host to a charity fundraiser which the event organisers are describing as ‘a real Hemel Hempstead night’.

Underwoods Solicitors are arranging the bash, in conjunction with the Lord’s Taverners and The Snowbility Foundation, for May 1.

The night will include a champagne reception, followed by good quality food and wine, which is all included in the ticket price of £60 per person.

In addition to this, there will be a chance to hit the slopes for some free skiing, with all the equipment provided by The Snow Centre.

Event organiser Kerry Underwood, chairman of Underwoods Solicitors, said: “This should be a real Hemel Hempstead night.

“Just turn up in your suit or bikini, or whatever appeals, and we will do the rest. We will also provide a ski instructor for a short while, but skiing is not compulsory.”

As well as raising funds for Lord’s Taverners, the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, the event is also being laid on to support The Snowbility Foundation.

This was established to make a difference through snowsports to those individuals with additional needs, such as autism, dyspraxia, ADHD or visual impairment, as well as all forms of rehabilitation challenges. Kerry is a trustee of The Snowbility Foundation and has been active in supporting the charity since its formation.

The fundraising event will begin at 6.30pm with an hour of free skiing, before a champagne reception at 7.30pm.

Guests will then be seated for dinner, and during the evening there will be a raffle and an auction.

Organisers are currently on the hunt for raffle and auction prizes, as well as port and brandy sponsorship and food sponsorship.

“If we can get some sponsorship it will mean that every penny will go to the two organisations,” said Kerry.
