More than 150 runners laced up their trainers for the 21st annual Aldbury Run on Sunday.
The competitors made use of the glorious weather conditions as they jogged 5.3 miles from the Aldbury Sports Club through Ashridge and back again.
Money raised on the day went towards the upkeep of the volunteer-led village sports club.
The winner of the race was Woodford Green AC representative Thomas Beedell who completed the course in a time of 31 minutes exactly – more than two minutes clear of his nearest challengers.
Beedell was followed home by Spencer Hempsted of Ilford AC in a time of 32 minutes and 8 seconds.
Third place went to David Lloyd Redway Runners representative Keith Miller in a time of 32.58, and the top-10 was completed by Owen Byrne, Steve Roberts, Bill Gristwood, Brendon Culbert, Paul Douglas, Tring RC’s Simon Barnett, and Stephern Moore.
The highest-placed finisher for the ladies section was Newbury AC’s Jackie Cooper who came home in a time of 37.56 to claim 14th position overall.
Other Tring RC members to make it into the top-100 on the day were Alan Whelan, Andrew Hall, Rick Ansell, Paul Chamney, Paul Cowan, Johnathan Smith, Mary Ward, Mandy Bonthrone, Craig Thomas, Paul Bailey, Aleksandr Bosch, Andrew Kateen, Jane Porteous, Kirsty Barnett, Louise Rockester, Martin Hopcroft, Alice Ely and Richard White.
