Dacorum & Tring Athletics Club continued its winning ways by taking a total of 36 medals – 13 of them gold – at the Herts County Athletics Championships at Woodside Stadium in Watford on Sunday.

Chenna Okoh again put in some stellar performances in the U15 boys’ category, winning gold medals in the 100m, in a time of 11.70s, the 200m (23.96) and 300m (37.09).

His time for the 300m was a personal best as well as a championship best, and vaults him into second place in the UK for his age group at the distance.

His 100m time, also a personal best, puts him into the top-10 so far this year.

Eliot Copperwhite also performed well to take gold in the U20 men’s 200m and silver in the 100m, while Sarah Grover took top spot in the U20 women’s 800m.

D&T also won a brace of medals in the field events, led by Fiona McQuire’s golds in the U17 Women’s shot put and discus.

Josh Brown was first in the U17 men’s discus while Callum Molloy took gold in the U17 Men’s hammer.

Josh Evans won the U20 men’s long jump, and the senior men came home with three golds – with Christopher Line recording wins in the shot and discus and Trevor Ratcliffe finishing in top spot in the javelin.

Coco Day, meanwhile, came second in the U15 girls’ long jump and Grover added a silver medal in the U20 women’s 400m.
