Stripper to lift more than his shirt in world record attempt

A professional stripper is planning to shatter a powerlifting world record.

On the weekends Nick Molloy doubles as 'Sexecute' the stripper, but he spends his daytimes lifting weights in his shed at his house on Melsted Road, Hemel Hempstead.

And, after months of training, he has his sights set on smashing a Guinness World Record in less than two weeks time.

He plans to deadlift 40,000kg in an hour, beating the record of 31,000kg set in 2007.

"Short of being broken in half or dead I will break it" said the 36 year old.

Tactics wise he will begin lifting around 90kg a time, lowering the weight as the 60 minutes subsides.

He added: "Someone handed me a Guiness Book of Records this year. I flicked through and there were a lot of Micky Mouse records in there but there are still a lot of legitimate sporting ones.

"I found this one and thought 'I can do that' so I got in touch with the records people and away we went!"

Nick began lifting in 2002,just three years before claiming a British Powerlifting title.

And now he will be at Esporta, on Maylands Avenue, in the presence of judges, a cameraman and the general public, in a bid to get his name in the record books.

Members of the public are invited to come along for the lift, which will begin at around 4pm on Monday, March 22.
