Tring’s teenage showjumping sensation Chloe Aston has been in devastating form this year and looks set to make it to the very top of her sport.

At the recent British Showjumping Awards Ball, Chloe was awarded the title of Best U21 Horse Rider of the Year, and her growing list of accolades shows no sign of stopping.

The 18-year-old has consistently been in the prize money on the Vilamoura Tour in Spain, and took two second-placed finishes at the prestigious Horse of the Year Show.

Chloe pushed one of Ireland’s top showjumping riders, Dermott Lennon, all the way in an international class, and this form has seen her rise to number one in the young showjumper rankings in Great Britain.

In two weeks’ time, Chloe will line up with 23 other young riders to contest the U23 championship final at the London International Horse Show in Olympia.

The competition carries a prize fund of £15,300, with the first prize-winner scooping £5,100 – making it one of the most hotly-contested young rider events in the country.

The jumping tracks are purposely built to give the young riders the experience they require when jumping abroad, and they will tackle fences between 1.45m and 1.50m.

Chloe will be riding Kolbri Classic, the horse she rode when representing GB at this year’s Junior European Show Jumping Championships, where they collected a team bronze medal.

Prior to the event, Chloe will be parading with her teammates alongside the victorious Olympic and Paralympic equestrian teams.
