DACORUM and Tring Athletics Club returned from Highgate with a third-placed finish in the latest southern men’s match.

The club picked up several first places, but eventually finished three points behind second-placed Bedford, with hosts Highgate storming to victory by a 13-point margin.

Ryston finished fourth, while AFD propped up the table in fifth position.

Lewis Clarke was named the Dacorum and Tring Athlete of the Match, following his 100m A and 4x100m relay victories. He also ran in the 4x400m race.

Other first places went to Bradley Pike, Courtney Hart, Craig Shearer, Sam Evans and Jeremy Tigar.

Pike took first place in the long jump A and triple jump A events, Hart won the long jump B, Shearer took the javelin B, Evans triumphed in the high jump B, and Tigar won the shotput B.
