A gang of six friends will be running through a village for the Haiti Appeal.
James Lovis, 12, of Tring School, came up with the idea to raise money for the cause.

He and his friends from the school Charlie Woodbridge and Sam Rabagliati, both 13, George Brown and Ryan Bohay, both 12, and 11-year-old brother Ben, who attends Grove Road School in Tring, are aiming to raise more than £300 for the appeal.

The boys will start from Wilstone Village Shop at 9.30am and will run a three-quarter-mile relay route past the Half Moon Pub, on Tring Road, Wilstone and back to the shop on time for 12.30pm tomorrow (February 6).

Charlie's father Mark said: "They are a little gang of boys from the village and they have seen a lot of press releases in the paper and come up with the idea themselves.

"They all do varied sports activities and get involved around the village.

"They are putting their minds to helping a little bit."

The boys have previously run to raise money for sports equipment in Wilstone.

Sponsorship forms are available from the village shop.
