A director of nursing for a cancer charity has been given a national role in hospice at home services.

Sue Varvel, from Tring-based Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, has been elected to the honorary role as chair of The National Forum for Hospice at Home, the umbrella organisation for hospices across the country.

IRHH communications officer Stephen Biggs said: "We are pleased Sue has been given the opportunity to work closely with those involved in Hospice at Home care across the country.

"This is exciting for Sue, and also for IRHH as we continue to campaign for an increase in funds to support our nursing services."
