A company has been recognised for its treatment of staff.

Business services organisation Grass Roots, based on Tring's Station Road, has been awarded two-star status for a third successive year in the 2010 Best Companies to Work For survey.

The highest accreditation category is three-star, in which 90 per cent of staff think their manager cares about job satisfaction.

Founder and chairman David Evans MBE said: "We have stuck to our fundamental belief that it's people who make the difference.

The skills we offer to our clients – communication, education, measurement and reward – are the skills that we practice with our employees.

"If you can execute these well and build them into your culture, you will encourage individuals and teams to go the extra mile."
