The Greene Note kicks off 2013 in style with live music and more at its Berkhamsted base this week.
The gig at The Kings Arms on Thursday night features The Leano along with local favourites Broken Boat and Atlantic Shore
The Leano has established for more than a decade, and over the years has performed all over the world
Rapper, poet, writer and teacher Arji Manuelpillai is backed by drummer Ben Moore and together they have created four albums and hundreds of live shows.
They swing between folk and rap, hiphop and reggae, and have a reputation for creating a vibe in the smallest or the biggest venues.
Broken Boat released their debut EP with local record company Which Wolf Wins last summer.
Peace and Quiet is a collection of seven songs that weave honest, heartfelt lyrics with delicate acoustic guitar parts in a musical style reminiscent of artists like Bob Dylan and Connor Oberst.
Advance tickets are £7/£5 from the venue www.wegottickets.com/event/199020, and it’s £8 on the door. Remember, even though it’s based in a pub there is no age restriction on Greene Note gigs.
