Hailing from Canada, the award-winning Gordie MacKeeman and His Rhythm Boys will serve up old-time roots music with energy on Saturday at The Old Town Hall in Hemel Hempstead.

“Crazy Legs” has a thrilling dance style and mixed with great bluegrass vocals, blistering guitar solos and the lively multi-instrumental talents makes this an unforgettable live experience.

The Rhythm Boys were given the Galaxie Supernova at the 2013 Ottawa Folk Festival for outstanding live performance.

Their credits include Avalon Stage performance at Glastonbury 2013 and a live session on ‘The Folk Show’ on BBC 2, the presenter of which, Mark Radcliffe, said: “Gordie and the Boys are great players, sharp songwriters, invigorating company... not to mention the nifty dancing. Frankly, what’s not to like?”

The gig gets under way at 8pm and costs £14 (£10 concession).
