A quartet of class performers will be combining their skills to produce a sweet session of swinging acoustic excellence at Berkhamsted Jazz Club on Saturday night.

John Etheridge put the Sweet Chorus collective together nearly 15 years ago as a tribute to his mentor and inspiration Stephane Grappelli.

Taking its cue from the legendary Hot Club of France, in which violin virtuoso Grappelli and guitar genius Django Reinhardt made their names, Sweet Chorus features John’s dazzling guitar and the scintillating violin of Chris Garrick, as well as Dave Kelbie (guitar) and Andy Crowdy (bass).

Doors open at 7.15pm for an 8pm start, and tickets are £10 for members and Dacorum Card holders and £13 for visitors and guests.

Tickets are usually available on the door, but to book in advance call 01442 824173 (Monday – Friday, 9am to 6pm, or pop into Perfect Pitch, Chesham to pick some up in person.
