A pack of lies in Court? Isn’t that perjury?

THE Court Theatre in Tring will be a scene of betrayal and deceit next Wednesday as Pack of Lies, a play based on the real-life unmasking of spies Helen and Peter Kruger is presented by the Prospect Theatre Company.

The year is 1960 and in a semi-detached house in Uxbridge an ordinary family – Bob, Barbara and teenage daughter Julie – are going about their everyday lives like thousands of suburban families.

Their humdrum existence is lightened by the liveliness of their friends and neighbours, Helen and Peter.

From the moment the family are persuaded to allow their home to be used to keep their neighbours under surveillance, their lives start to crumble.

Pack of Lies by Hugh Whitemore will be at the Court Theatre in Tring on Wednesday, October 12 with the curtain going up 7.30pm.

Go to www.courttheatre.co.uk for tickets or pick them up in person at Beechwood Fine Foods, 42 Frogmore Street, Tring.
