Carolyne Bevan dons the dog-collar of the vicar of Dibley when the curtain goes up tomorrow night on the Kings Langley Players’ take on the popular sitcom – and nobody can accuse her of not preparing for the role

She quizzed the Rev Lizzie Hood of Leverstock Green’s Holy Trinity Church for a few pointers when the cast posed for publicity pictures.

Director John Walker lives not far from the church and arranged for the photo session, and the Rev Lizzie will be in the audience during this week’s run.

John said: “My talented and clever cast are having the time of their lives re-creating the well-loved and well-known characters for our audience. I’m also very pleased that the big-guns on the design side in the KLP are on board, so audiences can be assured of a quality production.”

To meet the anticipated demand for tickets the Players are including a Saturday matinee performance in the run.

Curtain up is tomorrow, Thursday, with further performances on the Friday and Saturday evening, as well as the Saturday show.

The group now has an online box office which is available around the clock – visit www.klp.org.uk to book, but if you prefer to use the phone call 07906 695959.
