Two distinctly different comics share the bill at this month’s Screaming Blue Murder session at Hemel Hempstead’s Old Town Hall.
The Monday night mirth spot features Simon Fox, who has been in the business so long that he can count contributions to Radio 4’s Week Ending on his CV.
One of Simon’s proud boasts is that he was the first white stand-up to perform in the South African township of Soweto in 2010.
Also on the SBM bill is Danielle Ward, who is closing in on completing her first decade as a stand-up but also works as a TV and radio writer and actor.
She’s worked with Robin Ince and Charlie Brooker and made regular appearances on The News Quiz, and now she’s back with a mike in her hand after spending the early part of the year appearing in an all-female production of Julius Caesar at the Donmar Warehouse. The fun starts at 9pm, doors open at 8pm, and tickets are £8 (Dacorum Card £6).
