TRING’S comedy festival The Tringe is now in full swing and if you haven’t booked tickets yet make sure you don’t miss out.
Next week Leicester Mercury Comedian of 2009 Seann Walsh, who was also rated one of the top stand-ups to catch in 2011 by TV Channel Dave, brings his self-deprecating silliness to the Court Theatre.
Joining him on Thursday, July 14 is Roisin Conaty, the 2010 Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award best newcomer.
Roisin’s become a regular on the stand-up circuit and is also an established writer.
Her recent credits include BBC Radio 4’s Sony Award nominated Lawrence and Gus: Hearts and Minds, as well as Transmission Impossible, a Comedy Lab show for Channel 4, and Meet the Blogs, a pilot for Baby Cow Productions.
Both are Editors’ picks of the festival and a few tickets remain.
Two more picks crop up just a few days later and are not yet sold out.
They are comedy sketch group Jigsaw - a new group featuring a couple of Tring favourites - Tom Craine and Dan Antopolski, with Nat Luurtsema, a former Chortle Best Newcomer nominee, and one of the favourites of last year’s Tringe Jimmy McGhie. His show Jimmy McGhie: The All-Powerful Warrior Who With His Endurance And Inflexible Will To Win Goes From Conquest To Conquest Leaving Fire In His Wake was a massive hit in Edinburgh.
