VIP visitors including Mayor of Dacorum Penny Hearn and Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Lady Verulam were among the guests who enjoyed excerpts from past Vivo D’Arte productions including Les Misérables and Wind In The Willows at a gala celebration at Rudolf Steiner School in Kings Langley to mark the organisation’s first birthday. There were also previews of forthcoming youth shows including Phantom of the Opera, which opens next week.

To celebrate Vivo D’Arte’s collaboration with the Berkhamsted Espinosa Chute Centre, whose dancers will be taking part in Phantom, there were also two performances from the Espinosa Dance Project, featuring Yat-Sen Chang, former principal dancer with the English National Ballet.

Kate Bellingham, who chairs the Friends of Vivo D’Arte, said: ‘It was wonderful to see talented performers of all ages sharing the stage.”
