Music fans may have fond memories of some of the big names who played the Dacorum Pavilion in its glory days – but those in the know have to accept that Aylesbury’s Friars venue always cast a bigger shadow.
Fleetwood Mac, Mott the Hoople, Genesis, David Bowie, The Clash and the Ramones all played there in the 1970s, and the star names kept on coming in the 1980s too.
Now, 45 years after it was founded, the little club that rocked the music world is the focus of a major new exhibition at Buckinghamshire County Museum.
It runs from March 1 to July 5 at the museum in Church Street, Aylesbury. £4 tickets went on sale on Saturday and are available online at www.theticketsellers.co.uk and in person from the museum on the day of visit, subject to availability.
A maximum of 200 tickets at £15 each are available for a special preview evening, with drinks and canapes, on Friday, February 28. These are also available from www.theticketsellers.co.uk or in person from the museum.
