AN open day will be held at a popular gardening site, so the public can walk in and have a look around.
The event at Sunnyside Allotments, off Ivy House Lane in Berkhamsted, will run from 11am to 5pm on Sunday. It will mark the end of National Allotment Week, which began on Monday.
Produce grown on-site will be sold by plot-holders during the event, and there will be tea and coffee.
Guided tours will be held hourly from noon, starting at the tea hut in row B15.
A raffle will be held to raise money for the Northchurch-based Hospice of St Francis and Berkhamsted mayor Carol Green will give prizes to winners of the allotment scarecrow competition.
Ted Dyer, who has three plots at the site, said: “I like the fresh air, countryside and community spirit at these allotments. I call them Costa Del Sunnyside.”
