Adeyfield School are celebrating after a successful A Level results day.

Headteacher Scott Martin trumpeted the sport, business, ICT and citizenship departments’ results in particular.

He told the Gazette: “We’re really pleased with our results. We’ve had virtually all students get into the university they wanted, which is the most important thing.

“We have had some very good results, but the real successes are the students who worked hard to achieve the results they wanted or even better than they expected.

“A shift this year has been the number of pupils going into apprenticeships. A number of them are still yet to have their interviews, but as far as we know all of our students are going onto something after their A Levels.

“Days like today are what you come into education for as a teacher. Well done to all our staff, to the students, and to the parents who supported them; their time here has come to an end and we wish them all the best.”
