Young members of groups in Girlguiding’s Berkhamsted district are hoping to raise much-needed cash at a Christmas Market on Saturday.

Rainbows, brownies and guides aged five to 14 and members of the senior section are aiming to raise funds for Girlguiding in the town and surrounding villages, and have been working hard preparing for the event.

Stalls at the Berkhamsted Town Hall event will include cakes, tombola, games, books, hampers, and a raffle.

The special Secret Santa Room is back by popular demand, allowing children to buy presents for the adults in their life and have them gift-wrapped on the spot.

1st Berkhamsted Rainbows leader Alice Adams said: “We are hoping lots of people will pop in and enjoy our festive fundraising fete to help support Girlguiding in their area.

“I’m sure High Street shoppers will be glad to enjoy our homemade refreshments and take the weight off their feet.”

The market runs from 10am to noon and there is no admission charge.
