A youngster is sporting a fashionable short bob after having her hair chopped for charity - so far raising an impressive £1,180.
Seven year old Bethany Champ initially set herself a £100 fundraising target for the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs to children suffering hair loss.
Bethany, of Sheldon Way, Berkhamsted, has also donated her hair to the good cause to help make a real hair wig for a poorly youngster.
She bravely had her hair cut at the town’s Ash Hairdressing and is delighted with her new hair style.
Mum Sadie said: “She was over the moon. As soon as her hair was cut her face just beamed.
“She says people keep telling her how beautiful she looks.
I don’t think she fully understand how amazing what she has done is.Sadie Champ
“I don’t think she fully understand how amazing what she has done is. She has just taken it all in her stride.”
The new short hair do means there’s much more time in the mornings for things other than brushing and plaiting Bethany’s hair.
“It usually took about 40 minutes to do it before,” said Sadie. “We have had a lot of spare time in the morning.
“She just looks fabulous with short hair.”
People can donate to Bethany’s Just Giving page until the end of the month (March) at www.justgiving.com/BethanyBubble
