A CODE of practice has been launched to help employers in Hertfordshire ensure the process of working with ex-offenders is managed effectively.
Last week a training day was held as part of the Business in the Community Right Step project to examine the business case for employing ex-offenders.
The argument for employing ex-offenders considers that businesses could be losing out on talented workers if they exclude them because they have a criminal record.
Some 17 per cent of the UK working population has a criminal record.
