A VILLAGER is delighted to have won a signed Nigella Lawson cookbook to help her prepare a feast for 24 people.

Caroline Bird (above) is taking part in the Great Herts Feast on March 12 and March 13 this year, when she will host a dinner party for her friends.

Organisations and individuals across the county are encouraged to host meals during the two days to raise funds for Herts Air Ambulance.

The first 50 people to register for the event were put into a competition to win Nigella’s book, and Caroline was one of three winners.

Shee said: “I’m delighted to have won Nigella’s latest book – I didn’t enter hoping to win so it was a lovely surprise.”

Every host will be sent suggested recipes, cocktail ideas, a free gift and invitations they can deliver to guests.

Wendy Byland, events manager at Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust, said: “We are looking forward to some fantastic feasts and great entertainment all to help raise vital funds.”
