If you hope to get fit in 2015 you can do so while also helping to raise funds to help others.

Challenges on offer include a weight loss programme, cycling, a triathlon, skydiving, walking and an obstacle course for those eager to improve their fitness.

And by gathering sponsorship you can help Rennie Grove Hospice at the same time.

Ruth Proudfoot, events fundraising manager, said: “By committing to take part in one of our challenges you will have something to focus on and keep you motivated.

“Why not sign up to an event with friends or family so you can help each other stay on track.s

“The charity has a range of different events planned for 2015, so something is bound to appeal.

“You will also be able to get sponsored for your chosen challenge, so have the added bonus of knowing that while helping yourself to get fit you are also helping local people who have cancer and other life-limitating illnesses.”

Some of the challenges Rennie Grove has planned for 2015 include:

1 - The Biggest Loser
