Challenge Yourself: Your skills could help Dacorum charity

Volunteer Centre Dacorum supports more than 470 other local groups to find the volunteers they need to keep vital services running.

Could you use your administration and organisational skills to help our charity?

During the last decade we have helped over 10,700 people of all ages, abilities and walks of life to become volunteers.

As a volunteer PA you will be providing administrative support for our chief executive and will play a key role in the running of our centre.

Typical duties will include collating and distributing documents, arranging meetings and assisting with the processing of data as well as helping with diary management.

If you could take or write up minutes that would be great too. Help is needed on Monday or Friday (or to suit you) 4/5 hours, perfect for fitting in the school hours.

This home grown charity also needs the help of enthusiastic and willing volunteers who will assist with the smooth running of our busy centre.

The office volunteer role is varied and involves a mix of reception and I.T. work.

You will be dealing with the public in person, by telephone and email, booking appointments for volunteers and updating our database.

Help is needed on Tuesday afternoons from 1pm – 4pm and all day Friday between 9.30am – 4pm (can be split in to two sessions).

There is still time to sign up for the first Dacorum Volunteer League challenge?

Why not join the team from Dacorum Mencap, the first team to sign up?

Our first event is a charity bag pack at Marks and Spencer in the Marlowes, Hemel from Friday until Sunday.

You will have two hours to see how much you can raise.

Places are limited so call us on 01442 247209 to find out more.
