Cases coming before Herts magistrates courts this week have included:

IPEN Ltd, Ridgeway, Berkhamsted. Banned from processing placenta for new mums to eat and drink.

Mark Andrew Jarman, 54, High Street, Bovingdon. Driving at 36mph in 30mph zone in Cassiobury Park Avenue, Watford, on October 18. Fined £135, £85 costs, £20 victim surcharge and three points on licence.

Gregory Patrick Connolly, 57, School Row, Hemel Hempstead. Drink driving with 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath in Coniston Road, Kings Langley, on April 30. Limit is 35. Fined £200, £85 costs, £20 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 36 months - to be cut by 36 weeks if course is completed by July 5, 2016.

Lewis Mark Bentley, 22, Upper Icknield Way, Aston Clinton. Stole food worth £54.81 from Tesco, two counts of assault by beating and handling two stolen gold bands and stolen jewellery in Berkhamsted on September 4. Entered as a trespasser at some point between September 3 and September 4 with intent to steal in North Road, Berkhamsted. Driving without insurance in Upper Icknield Way, Aston Clinton, on June 25. Did not pay for taxi fare in Hemel Hempstead on December 14. Fined £200, sent to prison for 24 weeks, £401 compensation, £20 victim surcharge and banned from driving for six months.

Kevin Martin Joseph Keady, 56, Martian Avenue, Hemel Hempstead. Assault by beating in Watford on December 10. Sent to prison for six weeks, suspended for 12 months, £100 compensation, £50 costs and £80 victim surcharge.

Roy Alan Stallard, 34, Martian Avenue, Hemel Hempstead. Possession of a small wrap of cannabis in Hemel Hempstead on March 29 during operational period of a suspended sentence. Fined £80, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Antony William Ewen, 25, Waterside, Kings Langley. Two counts of sending a message that was indecent, obscene or menacing in Herts, plus resisted a police officer in Hemel Hempstead on August 1. Ordered not to contact family for 12 months, 30-day general offending behaviour programme, must attend supervision appointments for 12 months, fined £50, £85 costs, £100 compensation and £60 victim surcharge.

Christopher Tyerman, Creasy Close, Abbots Langley. Did not pay vehicle insurance in Abbots Langley on November 8 in Abbots Langley. Fined £135, £100 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Robert Nutkins, Belsize Road, Hemel Hempstead. Used a colour TV at home without a licence on February 11. Fined £400, £120 costs and £40 victim surcharge.

Martyn Pritchard, 33, Northend, Hemel Hempstead. Used a colour TV at home without a licence between January 17 and February 18. Fined £200, £120 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Claire Nora Walker, 45, Curtiss Drive, Leavesden. Used a colour TV without a licence at home on February 14. Fined £37, £60 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

James Michael Clements, 38, Livingstone Walk, Hemel Hempstead. Failed to attend group work appointment in breach of court order on March 11 and March 18. Punished for original offence of stealing three Mega Blok Call of Duty games worth £74.97 on November 16, numerous toys worth £303.96 on November 1, from Argos, Hemel Hempstead, and three cans of JD and coke worth £7.92 from Spar Stores, Hemel Hempstead, on February 11. Also stole meat and fish produce worth £60 from Co-operative, Hemel Hempstead, on March 24 and two pairs of Nike shorts worth £60 from Snow and Rock store, Hemel Hempstead, on April 24 - while on conditional discharge. Sent to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months. Must attend drug rehab course for six months and attend supervision appointments for 12 months.

Richard John Jarman, 55, Hastoe Hill, Hastoe. Failed to stop at the scene of an accident in Akeman Street, Tring, on June 2. Fined £500, £300 costs, £50 victim surcharge, £120 compensation and six points on licence.

Candice Alison Barbuti, 36, Sheldon Way, Berkhamsted. Damaged a front door and threatening behaviour in Berkhamsted on February 18. Fined £60, £100 costs and £20 victim surcharge.
