TWO young men accused of affray in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Billy Dove will have their cases heard at crown court.

Carl Williams, aged 21, and Ben Sears, aged 18, appeared at St Albans Magistrates Court on Friday, December 23.

Affray is a public order offence consisting of the fighting of two or more people in a public place to the terror of ordinary people.

The case of Williams, of Barnacres Road, Hemel Hempstead, and Sears, of Belsize Road, Hemel Hempstead, will be put before St Albans Magistrates Court again on February 17 when the case is expected to be committed to crown court for trial.

Billy was stabbed to death in Hemel Hempstead’s Market Square in the early hours of Sunday, November 6.

A tree at the murder site has been adorned with hundreds of tributes to the popular youngster.
